The International School of Turin (IST) has a wide range of cutting-edge teaching and technological equipment designed to support innovative and interactive learning. Spaces and resources are designed to ensure a high quality educational experience in line with international standards.
Early Years: Technology is gradually introduced through shared iPads to diversify targeted educational activities. Screen time is strictly managed, with usage limited to a maximum of 20 minutes per week.
Primary School:
Grades 1-2: Students share iPads in a 1:2 ratio, primarily utilizing them for math applications and digital library research. This setup introduces collaborative digital literacy in an early learning environment.
Grade 3-5: Students receive personal 1:1 iPads to enhance their independent learning across the curriculum. The devices are regularly used for math applications, targeted research, and various interactive educational activities.
High School: students use personal MacBooks, required for daily activities. These devices are used for advanced research, academic writing, the development of multimedial presentations and management of school projects. The use of MacBook prepares students for university and work, providing a more structured and independent learning experience.
IST promotes physical wellbeing and motor development through spaces dedicated to sport activities and play:
