School Clubs

At the International School of Turin (IST) we offer programs and experiences outside the classroom designed to assure the right balance to our students’ learning process and provide them with the tools they need to express creativity, think critically, communicate effectively and learn through inquiry.

UNESCO Club

Since 2016, IST has been a member of UNESCO and each year the IST UNESCO club is invited to the Young Scientists Meeting in Santarem (Portugal). The club, made up of about 15-20 active members, meets every Monday to analyse, discuss and communicate about an ecological issue to find solutions to environmental problems from a scientific point of view.

Yearbook Club

The Yearbook Club is a dynamic and creative group of students dedicated to capturing the essence of each school year. Committed to preserving the most cherished memories, this club thoroughly fills out a visually stunning yearbook collecting our school highlights, achievements and personalities.

Through photography, design and storytelling, the Yearbook members work collaboratively to create a memory that will be cherished in the years to come allowing each student to relive the moments that made their school experience special.

Model United Nations (MUN)

In recent years, IST has organised and hosted the Turin Model United Nations conference, an academic simulation of the United Nations aiming at educating students about civics, effective communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy.
The TOMUN conference is held at the United Nation campus in Turin in partnership with the International Labour Organization.

Within MUN, students take on roles of delegates and ambassadors and participate in a simulated session of an intergovernmental organization.

Students carry out research on countries, assume the roles of diplomats and ambassadors, inquire on international issues, debate, consult, negotiate and develop solutions to world problems. It is also a great opportunity to meet other students with an international mindset from all over the world.

Eco Club

Within the framework of our commitment to sustainability and biodiversity, the IST Eco Club is proud to have launched, and participated in, numerous events and activities related to our environment.
Even though we are a small community, we understand the real meaning of our work in the achievement of better sustainability and, thus, we focus our efforts on a local and community level.

Secondary Sports Team

The Secondary Sports Team is a great opportunity for MYP students to engage in sports. It takes place after school on weekdays and it’s free!

Currently the school organises volleyball, basket, soccer and cross country running clubs. Being part of the Secondary Sports Team means having the honor of representing the International School of Turin in international and friendly competitions with other schools.
