Coy McKinney is an alumnus of the University of British Columbia and the University of the District of Columbia’s, David A. Clarke School of Law. Coy has lived in DC since 2009 and Southwest since 2010. Coy currently coordinates the public section of the SW Community Garden in Lansburgh Park, organizes for social justice with fellow neighbors via SW Action, and has taught urban agriculture to high school students at Friendship Technology Preparatory Academy in Congress Heights since 2014.
